3D Water Text Effect

Step 1 Open Photoshop and create a new document. Fill the background layer with black and using the Brush Tool (B) or importing a vector file with a handwritten text. You can the one I used in the PSD file that you can download in the end of this tutorial. Step 2 If you create a text using the brush tool or importing a vector and paste it as bitmap, create a marquee selection of the area you want to apply Repoussé . With the selection active go to 3D> Repoussé>Current Selection. Step 3 To create the water effect we will use the Inflate preset and pretty much use the same values we used in the previous step, the Inflate 3D type. Change the Depth to 0 and the Scale to 1 , also for the Inflate , change the Slides to Front and Face. Step 4 You will notice that the E will be a solid block and the hole will be lost, then select the area that you want to be hole and then change the Type to Hole . Remove a Person From a Photo With Photoshop

Original Image Before we begin, download the image that we will be working with. As you can see, there are two individuals in this photo. In today’s tutorial, we will use Photoshop CS5′s Content Aware Feature to remove the man on the left. Step 1 Using the content aware tool on different images produces different results. An image with a gradient background such as the sky in this image is quite tricky to work with. Open beach.jpg in Photoshop. Step 2 We are extracting the person on the left from this photo. Using the Pen Tool, (P) Begin by making a path around the subject. The nice thing about using content aware is that you do not have to be exact when making a selection. In fact, do your best not to cut too close to the subject. Notice in the image below how far I am drawing the path from the subject. Try to keep this distance all the way around. If you go too close, Content Aware will take pixels from the subject. If you cut too far it will take pix...

Create a 3D Text Effect Using Photoshop Layer Styles

Create a new document in Photoshop. The size I’m using is 1920×1200 pixels. Fill the background with a color of your choice. I want to create a grunge background for the text. There are several ways to create a grunge background. I generally use a texture set on overlay, with the layer immediately below filled with a dark color, as you can see in this tutorial. Today, I will use a pattern. In my last tutorial I explained how to create a custom grunge pattern from scratch. For the background of this tutorial I’m going to use use a dark pattern from the Tileable subtle grunge patterns set. Just double click on the background layer to open the layer styles window, click on “pattern overlay” and select the pattern you prefer. If you don’t like the patterns visible in your library, click on the arrow near the pattern thumbnail and select another set from one available in the library. If you want to install a the new set, click on “load…” and select the new set just downlo...
